But in the mountains, you know, you don’t just go to work.. everyone knows and appreciates the good typical food at km 0 of the cheese makers, distilleries and local huts!
Curiosities about the Baths of SAINT VINCENT!
Saint Vincent is a renowned hydrotherapy health resort, but who could possibly think that all this tourist fortune is linked to cows? In fact, in 1770, the discoverer of the healthy waters of the Fons Salutis, Abbot Jean-Baptiste Perret, was persuaded to analyze a stream of water, which would later prove rich in therapeutic virtues, as intrigued by the fact that a group of grazing herds always went there and only to drink!
Folk Group of Saint Vincent!
Nothing can show the habits and ways of life of a community better than its traditional dances and songs.
Precisely with this spirit and a strong popular will, this folk association was born at the end of the 1920s of the twentieth century. The activity of its founding members continued until 1940, the year in which for war reasons it was suspended for the first time. But the strong attachment to the territory has always allowed the reconstruction of the association with new adhesions.
The Saint-Vincent Folk Group is today a tourist and cultural reality particularly active in the area, formed by a large and renewed group of young people who, together with the most experienced members, perform in the main events organized by the region and participate in national and international events.
